The family firm was Aucoc, established in Paris in 1821 and was
patronized by the house of King Louis Philippe, the House of Orleans,
Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie.
From 1874 to 1876, Renee Lalique was apprentice to Aucoc year. Lalique
would become a later defining face in the Art Nouveau movement.
Gold Medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889 in Paris.
Silver Medal at the "Exposition des Produits de l&apos industrie francaise"
of 1839 and 1844 in Paris.
First class Medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1855 in Paris, and
another Silver Medal in 1867 and 1878 in Paris.
Grand Prizes at the Universal Exhibition of 1900 in Paris and Saint
Louis in North America in 1904.
