Remarkable Samuel T. Crosby and Co of Boston coin silver tea tray dated 1860. The border is cast with pierced branch with oak leaves and acorns. It has an elaborate hand engraved scene with a kneeling man with rifle near water and reeds with ducks/geese flying in the distance. There is another hand engraved scene with two men in a boat with rifles bird hunting. It also has a finely engraved wide border of scrollwork.
This piece measures 28" x 17 1/2" x 2" and weighs 83 troy ounces (actual weight). It has a dragon crest with monogram (see photos) and is in excellent condition. A true work of art!
