Stunning William Thomson coin silver 4-piece tea set with elaborate floral and acanthus leaf design. It was made in New York circa 1809-45, and features applied lion's paw on ball feet and berry/grape finial. This set includes:
1 - Teapot (with lion spout): Measures 11" x 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" tall and weighs 45.34 troy ounces.
1 - Creamer: Measures 7" x 4 1/2" x 7" tall and weighs 18.29 troy ounces.
1 - Sugar Bowl (with lid): Measures 9 1/4" x 6 1/2" x 9 1/4" tall and weighs 35.74 troy ounces.
1 - Waste: Measures 7 5/8" x 5 5/8" tall and weighs 25.38 troy ounces.
This set is monumentally oversized. It has vintage monograms (see photos) and is in good vintage condition. Outstanding!
