William Spratling was
an American-born silver designer and artist, best known for his
influence on 20th century Mexican silver design. He was trained as an
architect and
was a talented visual artist by the 1930's he founded the first of the
silver shops that would spur a Mexican silver renaissance. His inspired
designs blend a unique modern aesthetic with Pre-Columbian designs,
creating works of art. These handcrafted utensils show off the
exceptional skill of the legendary Spratling silversmiths and the unique

rare set of six Rosewood Handle and sterling utensils by William Spratling, Taxco Mexico. These pieces have a triangular silver inlay in the Rosewood handles, horizontal lines, and hand hammered bowls, circa 1940-1944, First Design period. This set includes:
