Incredible Georgian English sterling silver epergne with four candle holder branches made by J.W. Story and W. Elliott, London, c.1812-1813. The design is superbly detailed with high relief modelled classical figures, cornucopia, applied grapes and grape leaves and vines, and in the center a basket of three dimensional fruit and leaves. The center glass bowl is no longer present.


The central oval opening measures 9 3/4" x 7 1/4". The piece measures 13 3/4" x 13" x 12" (h). It is engraved with a crest and is in excellent vintage condition. Weighs 107 troy ounces. Fabulous. Museum quality!
