Lovely Martin Hall and Co English Victorian sterling silver five-piece tea set marked #1504, made in Sheffield, England, circa 1894. This set features 3-D bird/eagle finials and spouts and repoussed flowers and scrollwork. It was retailed by the Goldsmith's and Silversmiths Co of London. This set includes:
1 - Kettle on Stand (no burner): Measures 14" tall x 8 1/2" and weighs 44 troy ounces.
1 - Coffee Pot: Measures measures 10 1/4" tall x 9 1/4" and weighs 26 troy ounces.
1 - Tea Pot: Measures 7" tall x 10 3/8" and weighs 23 troy ounces.
1 - Sugar/Waste (open/no lid; gold washed interior): Measures 5" tall x 8 1/2" and weighs 12.6 troy ounces.
1 - Cream Pitcher (covered): Measures 6" tall x 4 3/4" and weighs 9.4 troy ounces.
This set has an engraved griffin family crest and a monogram on opposite side. It is in good estate condition as shown in the photos. Wonderful set!
