Marvelous Gebelein silverplate over copper footed bowl made in Boston, circa 1915. This bowl measures 7 3/8" tall x 5 3/4". It is not monogrammed and is in good vintage condition as shown in the photos. Fantastic!

"A larger initial mark, an upright oval G with the outline beaded at top and bottom and sides was not used on solid silver or gold but on work with other metals, such as the Gebelein hand-hammered silver-lined copper bowls or on all-over silver-plated products." (This is according to book on Gebelein by his daughter, Margaretha Gebelein Leighton - page 104 "George Christian Gebelein Boston Silversmith 1878-1945".
