Monumental "Majestic" by Alvin sterling Silver flatware set - 167 pieces. This multi-motif Art Nouveau pattern was designed in the year 1900 by Frederick Habensack and features varying floral motifs on the handles, in fine detail. Habensack was born in 1875 in Germany and came to the US in 1890 to work for Jos Fahys at the Alvin Silver Company in Sag Harbor, NY. There, in the early 1900's, he designed and patented several of the most collectible patterns ever produced by Alvin including Majestic, Morning Glory, Bridal Rose, Old Orange Blossom, and Raphael.
