In 1828, the Baltimore firm Kirk, introduced the Repousse pattern. This
pattern was named after the art of repoussé (the process of embossing
metal from the back by hammering), originally used in European
silversmithing. The Repousse pattern features an
intricate floral design along its entire stem and handle.

condition, with no monograms. Hallmarks vary. Most pieces bear 925/1000
mark, 100+ years old. Finely detailed repousse design. Some of the hallmarks are slightly worn due to age.
The dinner knives have no seam on the sides, like today's knives, which have 2 seams that are not repoussed and are plain and thinner silver on the seams. These dinner knives are wonderfully impressive with all-around repousse design.
The knives have slightly varying handle weights due to the cement inside the handles.
