Flowing scrollwork follows the gently curved handles of this magnificent pattern inspired by the rococo style of design favoring shell-like curves prevailing in 18th Century France. Named for the French hamlet near the border of Germany, this intricate pattern displays rococo exuberance with hints of lively German Baroque opulence. The finely carved details along the edge highlight a smooth central panel, and culminate in a subtle shell near the tip.
