This pattern was named after the art of repoussé (the process of embossing metal from the back by hammering), originally used in European silversmithing. The Repousse pattern, first crafted in 1828, features an intricate floral design.
Repousse by Kirk sterling silver fruit bowl. It has an "EMJ" monogram. The piece is marked with #15 and 925/1000, and it dates from 1896-1924. It measures 1 1/2" tall, 9" in diameter, and it weighs 12.5 ozt. It is in excellent condition.
