Extraordinary Gorham sterling silver butter dish wash tub style with 3-D cow finial and bugs on handles. It also features a pierced flower-like liner. This piece is marked #466 and is circa 1870.

The butter dish measures 4 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" and weighs 16.8 troy ounces. It is monogrammed on the lid (see photos), and is in good estate condition. Spectacular piece!
