Extraordinary unusual form sterling silver thermometer holder, circa 1890s. The cap and base are beautifully chased with scrollwork. The temperature goes from -10 to 130 degrees. It measures 14" tall x 4" wide and weighs 24.4 troy ounces. It has a vintage monogram "AP" on the top, and is in good estate condition as shown in the photos. Amazing piece! Note: We believe it may be attributed to Shiebler, but it is unmarked. Insert not included.
