Sterling silver martini shaker handmade by Ubaldo Vitali. Vitali was born in Rome in 1944 and immigrated to the United States in 1967. He is a master silversmith and has been commissioned to create pieces by The Shah of Iran, multiple U.S. presidents, Queen Elizabeth II, Tiffany Co., Bulgari, and others. He is the only silversmith to have won the MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant, and his work has appeared in the Smithsonian Art Museum, The Museum for Fine Arts in Houston, and many more. The martini pitcher measures 11" tall x 6 1/2" diameter. This piece was a presentation for The Meadowlands World Cup horse race on June 14, 1984. It is in excellent condition. Truly extraordinary!
