Outstanding early 1850's Antique Ivy by Tiffany and Co. sterling silver water pitcher marked #437 English Sterling with gorgeous ivy engraving. When Tiffany was starting to make sterling, they would number items and at that time, English silver was so much in demand, sometimes they removed the Tiffany stamp, which is the case with this piece. The stamp is illegible. This pitcher is quite large, measures 11" tall x 7 3/4", and weighs 31.5 troy ounces. It is beautifully monogrammed (as shown) in a cartouche under the spout and is in good vintage condition. Superb!
