This outstanding set of four sterling butter pats was made by Tiffany Co. in the pattern "Lap Over Edge". They are hand hammered, acid etched. and partial gilt featuring aesthetic elements including butterflies, cattails, and a beetle. Stamped with the date letter "M" circa 1880, and the #6265/2937. They measure 1/4" tall, 3" diameter, and the set weighs 4.8 ozt. They are in excellent condition with vintage monograms (see photos). Museum quality.
