Superb Louis XVI by Shreve 7-piece tea set, circa 1909, including: Coffee Pot, Tea Pot, Kettle on beautifully pierced stand, Covered Sugar Bowl, Creamer, Waste, Gallery Tray with glass cover. The pieces are decorated with a finely detailed design of bows and swags with a center cartouche with monogram "B".
The coffee pot measures 11 1/2" x 10 3/4" and weighs
36.5 ozt. The tea pot measures 10" x 10 3/4" and weighs 34.6 ozt. the
kettle on stand measures 13 3/4" x 9 3/4" and weighs 65 ozt. The
sugar measures 7" x 7" and weighs 21 ozt. The creamer measures 5
1/2" x 5 1/2" and weighs 12.8 ozt. The waste measures 5" x 3
3/4" and weighs 11.9 ozt. The gallery tray with fabulous raised edge, wooden center, and shell design measures 24" x 18" x 3 1/2". The glass cover for the tray measures
