Museum quality Repousse by renowned silversmith A.E. Warner, Baltimore Maryland, circa 1810-1840, 5-piece Tea Set marked with 11-2 for early coin silver. This set features fabulous repousse detailing and exceptional unique animal motifs including a lion, monkey, birds, figural ram handles, and figural bird finial on Samovar spout.
This set includes:
1 - Large Hot Water/Coffee Samovar Urn, 18" (h) x 10 1/2" (w) and weighs 64.34 troy ounces. With lion, rams, monkey, and bird on handle. Incredibly impressive piece!1 - Tea Pot: Measures 8" (h) x 10" (w) and weighs 40.42 troy ounces.1 - Covered Sugar bowl with grapes finial: Measures 8 3/4" (h) x 8" (w) and weighs 29.32 troy ounces.1 - Creamer w/ram: Measures 9" (h) x 5" (w) and weighs 11.75 troy ounces.1 - Waste Bowl: Measures 7 1/4" (h) x 7 1/2" (w) and weighs 19.38 troy ounces.
The pieces in this set have matching monogram, as shown. The Creamer has a minor dent in the cartouche (does not detract), otherwise, the pieces are in excellent vintage condition, as shown in the photos. Fabulous crisp detailing and wonderful patina. Absolutely magnificent.
