Superb large Japonesque sterling silver yoked Asparagus Serving Tong, beautifully hand hammered and pierced with intricate flower and leaves on the back and front of the rectangular tongs. Applied copper berries and applied gold and copper leaves and copper branch decorate the handle on both sides.
It is monogrammed on the yoke "I.S.K." (see photos), and is in excellent condition. It measures an impressive 11 5/8". Museum quality. Spectacular piece, circa 1880s.
