The academic nature in which designer Antione Heller looked to the past for inspiration also stems from the Beaux Arts movement. This multi-motif, figural pattern features French court of Fontainebleau, palace of King Francis I, with figures in court dress in varying food-related themes in feast or dinner service, and was introduced by Gorham in the year 1882.
