Sterling handwrought earrings made by Bjarne Axness, employee at the Kalo silver shop in Illinois. Marked: Sterling. The earrings each feature three pierced and engraved cherries with leaf. There are two layers with solid back. These have the original screw backs. The earrings measures 11/16" wide and 1" long, and the pair weighs 5.25 dwt. Circa 1909-1940s. Purchased from Bjarne's grandson. Charming!
