Sterling handwrought earrings made by Bjarne Axness, employee at the Kalo silver shop in Illinois. Marked: Sterling Hand Wrought. The earrings each feature a pierced and engraved acorn with oak leaf. There are two layers with solid back. These have the original screw backs. The earrings measures 11/16" wide and almost 1" long, and the pair weighs 5.15 dwt. Circa 1909-1940s. Purchased from Bjarne's grandson. Terrific!
