The Olympian pattern, which was introduced by Tiffany Co. in 1878, is the most elaborate and complex of all Tiffany flatware designs. Each piece of Olympian is designed to illustrate a well-known story of Classical mythology. The subjects vary with the size of the handles on the different pieces. 


Beautiful sterling silver Crumber measuring 13 7/8" in the pattern Olympian by Tiffany and Co. The handle of this piece features the eleventh motif in this pattern, which is Actaeon devoured by his dogs after being changed into a stag. On the reverse there is a stag head and implements of hunting. This piece features a hollow handle and an all-sterling serving area. It is not monogrammed and is in excellent condition.
