18k Gold French Bouquet of Flowers Necklace w/ Pearl Drop and 18k Chain (#J7528)

18k yellow gold pendant with French hallmark and attached 18k Italian chain with pierced filigree stations. The heavy cast pendant features a bouquet of flowers and detailed scrollwork. The pendant has the eagle hallmark for 750 or 18K gold. There is a small golden pearl drop with tiny diamond accent. The pearl measures about 4.8mm.

The pendant measures 1 1/4" wide and 1 3/8" long with drop. The pendant is attached to an 18k yellow gold Italian chain with ten pierced links. The wearable length is 24.5". The chain could easily be shortened.

The necklace weighs 9.51 dwt. The pendant dates from about 1900 with a newer but still vintage chain. Absolutely stunning piece!

Important Note on Vintage/Estate and Antique Jewelry:

Please be aware that eBay's authentication system does not recognize the historical gold-stamping practices that existed before the National Gold and Silver Marking Act, introduced in the year 1981. This act added new rules for accuracy with stricter fineness of gold requirements. Prior to this law, pieces were usually made slightly under karat, as was standard in that era. Vintage and antique jewelry (pre-1981) may not precisely reflect the karat stamp, and it's common for the gold to be slightly under the stamped karat. Additionally, routine maintenance such as resizing, prong re-tipping, and other adjustments can also contribute to pieces not being exactly the karat gold that is stamped.
