Art Nouveau Figural Silverplate Purse with Chatelaine Clip and Beading (#J4251)
Art Nouveau purse with silver plated frame and chatelaine clip. Figural woman with flowing hair on clip and frame. Unmarked. Fabric purse with silver colored faceted beads and fringe loops. The string used for the loops is very old and fragile. It should be replaced and re-strung to use. Some beads from broken string included. Some beads missing. Some plating loss.
The purse measures 6 1/2" wide and 12" long from top of clip to fringe. The interior of the purse is about 5 1/4" wide by 4" deep. It dates from about 1905. Remarkable piece!
