Fabulous Gorham Art Nouveau sterling covered chafing dish 2-piece in the pattern Athenic by Gorham, circa 1910. It has an applied leaf and flower motif (reminiscent of Martele' by Gorham) with applied pierced knot finial. The legs are heavy gauge and impressive, floral topped with large leaves going down to scroll feet. The piece has a "FMC" monogram on the cover and it's marked #A3983. It measures 8 1/4" tall, 17 1/2" wide, and weighs 72.1 ozt. There are some age lines on the handle (as seen in photo, does not detract), but otherwise in excellent condition. It has three all original burners and is a work of art. Stunning! SKU#0144.
