Intricately carved floral motifs carefully arranged along the handle and by the neck of this fanciful pattern are balanced by a central panel edged with delicate borders. Introduced in 1899, the graceful clusters of buttercups adorning each piece are reminiscent of hand-sewn Venetian lace and bring to mind the romance of nuptials.
