Tiffanys luxurious Chrysanthemum silver was designed in 1880. With its flowing curves, swirling vegetation, meandering tendrils and exotic blossoming plants, Chrysanthemum is characteristic of the Tiffany style or Art Nouveau as that style is now more commonly known. The rich and graceful flowering motifs of Chrysanthemum were undoubtedly influenced by Louis Comfort Tiffany. They make Chrysanthemum the most sumptuous of any American silver pattern.
Chrysanthemum by Tiffany Co. sterling glass holder with attached coaster and glass insert. It is marked #15368/8068 and it's stamped with the letter "C" date letter for 1902-7. The measurements for the piece are 1 1/4" tall, with the glass it's 6 3/4" tall, 5 1/2" wide, and for the sterling holder it weighs 4.4 ozt. It is monogrammed "LWA" and is in excellent condition.
