Remarkable French sterling silver cup and saucer two-piece set (maker unknown/marks on bottom rim of cup are worn). The cup features a gold washed interior, hollow handle with winged cherub, and a winged angel/cherub and arrow applied border. The cup measures 5" tall x 3 3/4", the saucer measures 6 1/2" in diameter, and together the pieces weigh 9.91 troy ounces.
The pieces are monogrammed "SM" (see photos), and are in good estate condition as shown, with a couple of dings on the saucer. The crowned "R" mark might be 1780-1781 18th century. Exceptional!
