Francis Nicoud succeeded Charles Lavallee, an important businessman specializing in flatware in Paris since 1831. Francois Nicoud received a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1878 in Paris. This set includes:12 Mother of Pearl handle Dinner Knives, 10" (some wear to blades, as expected with age) 24 Dinner Size Forks, 8 1/4" 12 Large Dinner Spoons, 8 1/2" 1 Soup Ladle, 14" 2 Gravy Ladles, 8 1/4" Includes original fitted oak flatware storage chest (chest in as-is vintage condition).
