Magnificent Friedlander and Co German .800 silver hand engraved candlestick pair with square base. There were made in Berlin, Prussia circa 1842-1847. The pieces measures 12 1/2" tall x 4 3/8" and weigh 22.8 troy ounces. They are not monogrammed and are in good vintage condition. Extraordinary pair!
Note: Friedlander and Co was warden of the imperial mint to Friedrich Wilhelm I and royal warrant of jewelers to Princess Louise, sister of the Kaiser.
