Art Nouveau Martele by Gorham .9584 sterling silver pair of footed condiment trays with a beautiful floral motif marked #4740. They were made December 29 of 1900 and took 14 hours to form. They were then hand chased for 35 hours. The hand chaser was Frederick Bower.


The trays measure 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" and 1 1/4" in height. They have a fancy script monogram in the center (see photos) and are in excellent condition. Each weighs 15.2 troy ounces, and weigh a total of 30.4 troy ounces for the pair.

Each piece of Martele is one-of-a-kind and handmade. Museum quality, a work of art.
