Nouveau Martele by Gorham .9584 sterling silver MEAT TRAY / PLATTER
with beautiful floral motif, #P/FY. It was made in AUGUST of 1908 and
took 28 hours to form. It was then hand chased for 52 hours. The
maker/designer was Frederick J. Buxton Sr. and the hand chaser was
George W. Sauthof.
It measures 17.5" x 12" and 1 3/8" in height. It
has a fancy script monogrammed in the center (see photo) and is in
excellent condition. Weighs 43.5 troy ounces.
Each piece of Martele is one-of-a-kind and hand made. Museum quality, a work of art.
