Narragansett by Gorham
Captivating Narragansett by Gorham sterling silver almond dish and almond serving spoon two-piece set. This set is inspired by Rhode Island's Narragansett. The dish is in the shape of a large oyster shell with two smaller applied shells as feet. Applied sand conveys a realistic aesthetic period design. The interior of the oyster shaped bowl of the dish and spoon are gold washed.
The shell dish is not monogrammed. The spoon has a coral branch handle and an oyster shell bowl. The back of the spoon bowl is monogrammed "BKG". The dish is marked with Gorham's hallmark, "Sterling/785", and with the fleur de lis date symbol of 1887.
The dish measures 4 7/8 inches long by 1 1/8 inches high and weighs 2.5 troy ounces. The spoon measures 6 inches long and weighs .6 troy ounces. They have a combined weight of 3.1 troy ounces, and are in excellent vintage condition. Spectacular! Museum Quality.
