incredible multi-motif Olympian pattern, which was introduced by Tiffany Co. in 1878, is
the most elaborate and complex of all Tiffany flatware designs. Each

Classical mythology. The subjects vary on
the different pieces.
Edward
Moore, designer of this pattern, dominated the first era of Tiffany
made flatware and designed several full lines of sterling patterns.
Moore's father manufactured for Tiffany and upon retirement left Edward
Moore in charge at the young age of 24. In 1868 Tiffany incorporated and
bought the Moore Company, making Moore a Tiffany director and chief
designer and head of silverware operation. With his travels, he
experienced many exotic cultures and art which significantly impacted
his designs. After his death, his true genius was fully acknowledged and
he as then called "A Prince of Silversmiths.... easily the foremost
