William Spratling was an American-born silver designer and artist, best known for his influence on 20th century Mexican silver design. He was trained as an architect and was a talented visual artist by the 1930's he founded the first of the silver shops that would spur a Mexican silver renaissance. His inspired designs blend a unique modern aesthetic with Pre-Columbian designs, creating works of art.
