Tane
Beautiful Tane Mexican sterling silver Cossack kovsh bowl featuring a Russian-influenced design with light gold-washed accents. The rounded body alternates smooth, lobed panels with intricately decorated paisley-shaped motifs. Scrolling ornament surrounds the neck and continues onto the extended handle, while a texture completes the richly detailed design.
The contrast between the silver and darker decorative recesses highlights the bowl’s sculptural form. The underside is marked “TANE,” “STERLING,” and “MEXICO,” with additional maker’s symbols.
Measures approximately 6" x 5 1/2" x 3" and weighs 11 troy ounces.
In good vintage condition, as shown.
